In Seamless Realities, painting is central to understanding how digital technology and experiences in virtual worlds influence our relationship with the objects around us, and with the artistic object in particular. In recent decades, the practice of painting has shifted, reflecting the fluid boundaries between disciplines and incorporating new materials and technologies. Digital technologies and virtual experiences are reshaping social practices, perception, and creativity, and the transformations undergone by the concept of painting are an expression of these changes.
